Due to the ongoing Pandemic, the program is canceled for summer 2021. If interested please contact mentors directly for potential volunteer opportunities.

Professor and students work in a chemistry labThe Boston College Research Experience for Undergraduates (BC-REU) will provide a unique opportunity for 10 undergraduates per year to work in teams across disciplines, focusing on scientific solutions to energy and biological problems.

BC-REU participants will gain the skills and reinforced motivation for success in STEM careers, while learning the power of integrated science to solve complex societal problems via the innovative solutions that emerge in highly collaborative and diverse environments.

The amount of experience I have gained this summer has been astronomical. Not only did I have the chance to learn a great deal through research, but I also found the many seminars and workshops very useful. I truly appreciate the fact that you took the time to organize events that we would find both useful and entertaining.”
